Book Project: Images of Eco-Futures

Images of Eco-Futures. Global Ecocritical Art History as Environmental Communication

The research project “Grasping the Pictures of Eco-Futures,” funded by the KIT Foundation and Schleicher Foundation, will publish an edited volume in collaboration with international scholars. The book focuses on the potential of ecocritical art history to transform society with contributions to the Anthropocene discourse and public engagement in environmental communication. The following authors participate with articles focusing on the visual cultures of ecological management, representation, or prediction of yesterday and tomorrow – from historical utopias to current eco-futures:
